Whitney Houston’s Daughter Found Unresponsive

The daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown was found unconscious in her home in Georgia. Bobbi Kristina Brown was discovered by her husband, Nick Gordon, in her bathtub. When paramedics arrived at Brown’s residence, they “took over life-saving measures until an ambulance arrived,” according to the Roswell Police Department. Brown was revived and rushed to North Fulton Hospital. There are conflicting media reports regarding Brown’s condition, but NBC News reported “she’s very stable.”

An updated report from E! News confirmed her father, Bobby Brown, and family friend, Tyler Perry, arrived at the hospital to be by her side. Brown’s cousin, YF Kennedy, spoke to E! News about Bobbi Kristina. “We don’t know what happened yet. We don’t know why she was unresponsive. Krissi doesn’t do drugs,” Kennedy told E! News. He added, “She hasn’t been drinking or doing drugs and she’s cut down on cigarettes. She’s been trying to get her music together and keep her voice clean. Her voice is so beautiful.” This unfortunate incident occurred almost three years after singer Whitney Houston was found unresponsive in a bathtub in a hotel room. Houston died of accidental drowning on February 11, 2012, and Kennedy told E! News, “It’s a rough time lately with the anniversary. So this is a blow to the family. She’s still been going through the grieving stages but is trying to keep her spirits up.” He added, “She’s been going to the gym every day with her husband and trying to be happy. She swims a lot.”

The Houston family has been in the news often due to the release of Whitney Houston’s biopic, which aired on the Lifetime network last month. The film centered around Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s relationship and included substance abuse as well as marital affairs. The couple married in 1992, and Houston divorced Brown in 2007; the film also addressed Houston’s desire to have a child, and the joy she felt when she had Bobbi Kristina in 1993. Kennedy said Bobbi Kristina did not watch the Whitney movie, but she did watch the Bobby Brown special that aired following the film. Kennedy said Bobbi Kristina was “very proud” of her father for doing the interview. During the Lifetime special, Bobby Brown openly spoke about his high-profile relationship with Whitney Houston.
