U.K.’s alternative and indie rock band Two Weeks Running have put out a music video their single “Holy Ghost” (the A side to “One Deep Breath”). The very first line of lyrics match perfectly with the theme of the video, “Let’s all fall in love and go to war,” lead singer Phil Alstead calls out, from his leaning position against a white wall onto which stock footage images of war are being projected. The video is made up of quick progression of striking images including a burning deck of cards, a graceful dancer on a rock precipice, the band playing a show, a girl leaning dangerously far into a well, vinyl records spinning on twigs,and more in addition to the war footage. Statues of knights, empty beer bottles and cans in a cemetery, kegs labeled “courage,” burning guitars, and individuals submerged in bathtubs all flash violently before your eyes, intertwined with the shots of Two Weeks Running playing hard on stage.
