The album also included the vocal talents of one Patrick Swayze who sings the song She’s Like The Wind. Number Two: Saturday Night Fever. Disco is the name of the game in Saturday Night Fever. The second soundtrack in the Top 5 for a film that features John Travolta and stayed in the US album charts for 120 weeks on its release in 1978. Saturday Night Fever reigned as the number 1 soundtrack until the current number 1 was released and featured hit singles from the Bee Gees such as How Deep Is Your Love, More Than a Woman and Stayin’ Alive. The soundtrack epitomised the disco movement of the time and sold 45 million copies to date worldwide.
Number One: The Bodyguard. The Bodyguard is still one of the most famous and best loved chick flicks. Having been adapted into a stage musical the love for this film stays strong. The film produced one of the best-selling songs of all time, I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston, who is also the star of the film. Houston sang and produced many of the songs in the film and the first side of the soundtrack is solely her. The soundtrack, released in 1992, is still one of the best-selling albums of all time. To date the album has sold over 47 million copies worldwide. The soundtrack won itself a Grammy for Album of the Year and Whitney proved that she truly was the Queen of the Night.
