Number Eight: Left-Eye Has Her Music on Her Tombstone. Left-Eye’s verse on “Waterfalls” is carved into her tombstone. Clearly, the song had a major impact on her.
Number Seven: They Were Originally Called 2nd Nature. The idea was Chilli’s, and their manager, Perri “Pebbles” Reid convinced them to become TLC instead. However, an all-male R&B group later called themselves 2nd Nature.
Number Six: Left-Eye Was Almost in Josie and the Pussycats. Though she did not end up being cast, Lopes was being considered for one of the major roles in the film Josie and the Pussycats. The movie was released in 2001.
Number Five: CeeLo Green Is Featured on “Waterfalls.” It’s true! Before Green exploded into fame, he was featured on “Waterfalls.”
Number Four: Left-Eye Was a Mentor. Left-Eye was incredibly generous with her talent, and she became a mentor to the female trio Blaque. She helped the group get a deal with Columbia Records, and she was also an executive producer for their self-titled debut album.
Number Three: They Recorded a Theme to a Very Famous Television Show. If you grew up in the 1990s, then you’re probably familiar with the hit television show All That. Well, do you know who recorded the theme song for the show? TLC, of course! All That ran for 10 seasons.
Number Two: Left-Eye Collaborated With Several Other Artists. In fact, she was featured on N*Sync’s “Space Cowboy,” Mel C of the Spice Girls’ “Never Be The Same Again,” and Donell Jone’s second album, which was called U Know What’s Up.
Number One: Left-Eye Named Her Drunk Self. In the 2002 documentary titled The Last Day of Left Eye, she admits to a long-standing battle with alcoholism. She even admitted that when she drinks, she becomes a different person – a person she named “Nikki.” The documentary aired on VH1.
