The Jepettos – Chemicals

[jwplatform SQgo3zUF-Pqiywodl]

Hailing from Belfast and Derry in Northern Ireland, alternative folk band The Jepettos’ new music video for “Chemicals” will have your heart aching in your choked up throat. This heart-wrenching duet features the married lead singers Mike and Ruth Aicken, asking those troubling questions that often pop into couples’ minds, that often follow the pattern, “If I were gone, would you…?” The music video swoops around either of them as they sing to the camera, and the couple seems to be separated by some unseen force, possibly death, as Ruth dances in a ghostly white dress and Mike tormentedly throws himself off a rooftop. He unexpectedly lands in a pool and crawls out of it sopping wet, but he’s clearly crossed over, as Ruth is now within in his sight. They find their way outside to a lush green place and lucky for these lovers, come the end of the music video, they are united in a powerful embrace.
