Taylor Swift’s ‘Wildest Dreams’ Involve Cars

In a unexpected turn of events, pop princess Taylor Swift has decided to appear in two commercials in support of Toyota’s newest Camry Hybrid that are airing solely in China.  The commercials leaked to the Internet this morning and feature scenes of the “Blank Space” siren posing in a collection of gorgeous gowns while representing Toyota’s newest vehicle. Toyota has utilized “Wildest Dreams,” a fan moodier fan favorite cut from 1989, in support of the visual.

Appearing alongside Swift in one of the commercials is Chinese pianist Li Yundi, considered by many to be a prodigy for his impressive playing abilities. In one of the commercials, a piano-driven version of “Wildest Dreams” plays, and it has been speculated that Yundi is the pianist responsible for the instrumentation. Currently, there is no news regarding whether or not Swift will continue representing Toyota or if she will be filming a commercial to air on American soil.

This is not the first time that Taylor Swift has involved herself in a high profile celebrity ad campaign. Target utilized Swift’s current single “Style” in a series of commercials that aired in the months prior to 1989’s release. The commercial cross-promoted the musician and the store, which went on to sell a deluxe version of the album that featured an additional three tracks. The musician also teamed up with Keds, starring in a photoshoot that represented the company’s 2015 collection.

It is unclear if Swift has plans of releasing “Wildest Dreams” as a single in the future, or if it was only used in the commercial. Currently, Swift is promoting “Style,” which remains in the Top Ten of the Billboard Hot 100. The single peaked at the number 6 position and has dropped down to number 10 on the list this week. She has already been seen on the set of a music video for her upcoming release “Bad Blood.” A collection of Swift’s celebrity friends have joined Swift on set, and they are expected to join the musician in the visual, which does not currently have a release date scheduled.

Swift, who recently released the news that her mother was suffering from cancer, is also embarking upon a world tour, referred to at the 1989 World Tour. The event will kick off with a series of shows in Tokyo, Japan in early May before traveling to North America, Europe, and Australia and coming to a close in December. Swift will be joined by HAIM, Vance Joy, Shawn Mendes, and Ellie Goulding, all of whom will open for the superstar at various shows.

FDRMX Eyes: De La Romance is a cinematic pop outfit from France. The band has released a music video for the song “Unfree.”
