System of a Down Playing First Show in Colombia

System of a Down announced yesterday that they are performing their first ever concert in Colombia. The stop in Colombia show will take place during their Wake Up The Souls world tour. System of a Down will perform in Colombia on October 3rd.The band is also performing several shows in Rio de Janeiro for the Rock in Rioconcert in September. Rock in Rio will be presented by Move Concerts. Move Concerts will also bring Katy Perry to Colombia for a performance on October 9th.Perry is currently on her Prismatic World Tour, which wraps in Thailand on May 14th.The pop singer is traveling to Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, and several other places this month. In April, she will continue her overseas run in China, Indonesia, and Japan. Perry’s tour has already earned over $153 million dollars, since it’s launch in 2014.

Katy Perry‘s Teenage Dream album just reached a huge milestone yesterday. It just spent its 200th week on the Billboard 200 Albums chart. To date, only twenty-five albums have spent 200 or more weeks on the Billboard 200 chart. Bruno Mars’ Doo-Wops & Hooligans and Taylor Swift’s Fearless are two albums that have also reached the 200-mark milestone. Teenage Dream was released in 2010, and it is approaching three million copies sold. Six songs were dropped from the album, and five of them went to the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Perry is the first female recording artist to have five singles from one album reach Number 1 on the charts. The five Number 1 singles include “Firework,” “E.T.,” “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.),” “Teenage Dream,” and “California Gurls.”

The pop singer performed “California Gurls” and “Firework” during her record-breaking Super Bowl halftime performance. The halftime show brought in over 118 million viewers. The performance also helped the singles’ downloads and music streams gain significant increases. Katy Perry embarked on her California Dreams tour in 2011, which was in support of the Teenage Dream project. She traveled to North America, South America, Europe, and more. After 127 dates, the tour wrapped in 2012. California Dreams earned over sixty million dollars in revenue.
