Number Eight: Mohammed Ali Accused Him of Stealing His Script. Stallone presented the award for Best Supporting Actress at the 1976 Oscars. While he was speaking, Muhammad Ali snuck up behind him and said, “You stole my script. All of that was me, I’m Apollo Creed!”

Number Seven: He Hurt Himself Because He Refused to Use a Stunt Double. When he starred in Escape To Victory, Stallone insisted he didn’t need a stunt double while playing Captain Robert Hatch. However, he ended up dislocating his shoulder because of it.

Number Six: He Values a Happy Ending. When making Cliffhanger, the original cut entailed the decoy rabbit wearing a tracer lose a gun battle. However, Stallone observed the test audiences balk at this, so he paid $100,000 of his own money to reshoot the ending.

Number Five: He Overcame His Claustrophobia in a Movie. Before shooting Daylight, Stallone suffered from claustrophobia. However, he insisted on shooting the film in a small, enclosed tunnel set so he could overcome his fear.

Number Four: He Ate Pancakes to Gain Weight for HIs Role in Cop Land. Stallone put on 40 pounds for his role as Sheriff Freddy Heflin in Cop Land, and to do it, he ate a lot of pancakes. He said that the pancakes he ate were so big “you could put an axle in them and drive home.”

Number Three: He Is Part of One of the World’s Most Violent Movies. Rambo, released in 2008, stars Stallone, but that’s not the most important piece of information about the film. In fact, 236 people die throughout the movie’s duration.

Number Two: His Statue Sparked a Controversy. The iconic Rocky statue currently featured at the bottom of the steps to the Philadelphia Art Museum has some serious controversy behind it. When the statue was first placed there, art lovers everywhere threw a fit, and it was subsequently moved to a local sports arena. However, it was eventually moved back to the bottom of the steps and is one of Philadelphia’s top tourist attractions.

Number One: He Hates Stop! Or My Mom Will ShootIn fact, Stallone quotes Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot as the worst movie he ever did. More than Driven, Oscar or Rhinestone, Stallone has called the film “one of the worst films in the entire solar system.”
