Producer Emile Haynie has worked with some of music’s biggest stars including Lana Del ReyEminem, FKA Twigs, and Kanye West. After years of producing music for other artists, the producer decided to contribute tracks to his own project entitled We Fall. Some of the artists featured on his new album include Lana Del Rey, Lykke Li, Andrew Wyatt, and Charlotte Gainsbourg. We Fall will be released on February 23rd through Interscope Records.

Haynie has been producing for artists for over a decade. One of his first major artist placements came in 2003 when he co-produced Obie Trice‘s “Don’t Come Down”and “Hoodrats” with Eminem. Haynie continued to build his production catalogue in the early 2000s, which included working with Ghostface Killah, The Roots, and D12 rapper Proof. By the latter part of the 2000s, Haynie was making a name for himself as a producer in New York. He began making exclusive tracks for Ice Cube, Eminem, Kid Cudi, and Kanye West. Haynie, producer Plain Pat, and Kid Cudi started a record label called Dream On in 2009. Their label formed a partnership with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music and Universal Motown. Dream On released Cudi’s Man on the Moon: The End of Day in 2009, and Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager in 2010. Haynie won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album for his work on Eminem’s Recovery in 2010. He also co-produced Kanye West’s “Runaway” featuring Pusha T. Unfortunately, his record label dissolved in 2011 after Kid Cudi split from the company.

Haynie expanded his production catalogue into the pop genre, and produced Lana Del Rey’s Born to Die album in 2012. The album debuted at Number 2 on the Billboard 200 charts, and sold 77,000 copies in its first week. The album also sold more than four million copies worldwide. Haynie continued working with pop artists, producing tracks for Pink, fun., and Bruno Mars. He produced five songs for Bruno Mars that year, including the hit singles “Locked Out of Heaven” and “Gorilla.” The following couple of years, Haynie contributed work on a number of albums including Drake‘s Nothing Was the Same and Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2.
