Spring Awakening Festival Features Zedd and More

This year’s Spring Awakening Music Festival will be headlined by Zedd, Eric Prydz, Hardwell, Diplo, Tiësto, and Afrojack. The three-day festival will be held in Chicago from June 12th through June 14th. Zedd and Eric will headline on opening day, Hardwell and Diplo will headline on June 13, and Tiësto and Afrojack will headline the last day of the festival. The promoters mentioned they will reveal a “surprise” headliner who will be announced in the next few weeks. Other artists on the lineup include Duke Dumont, Dada Life, Martin Garrix, Paul van Dyk, Zomboy, and Jamie Jones. This year’s Spring Awakening will expand to four stages in order to better accommodate all of the musical acts. In 2014, more than 100,000 fans attended the music festival. General admission tickets and VIP tickets are now available on the Spring Awakening Festival website.

Zedd’s most-known productions include “Clarity” featuring Foxes and “Break Free” featuring Ariana Grande. “Clarity” won a Grammy for Best Dance Recording last year, and “Break Free” reached Number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. He has released several official remixes for Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, P. Diddy, and Skrillex. Zedd will host gigs in Las Vegas next month including a few dates at XS Nightclub starting on March 6th.

Along with the Spring Awakening Music Festival, Skrillex,Tiësto, and Afrojack will serve as the DJ headliners for the Ultra Music Festival in Miami (Florida). Avicii, David Guetta, Steve Aoki, and Armin van Buuren will also headline the festival. This year’s live performers include Die Antwoord, Clean Bandit, Odesza, Bassnectar, and Kiesza. More than 100 musical acts have been announced for Ultra, which is just the first phase of this worldwide event. Ultra Music Festival will be held March 27th through March 29th. The Miami Police Department will help provide stricter security management, after a trampling incident left a security guard with a brain hemorrhage last year. Miami officials initially wanted to disband the festival from being held in Miami, but organizers agreed to take the proper security measures to ensure a safe environment for festival goers and staff members. Ultra Music Festival will remain in downtown Miami, Florida this year.
