There’s nothing quite like a fight within a celebrity family.
Beyonce Knowles’s Sister, Solange, has caught on video spitting and hitting Beyonce’s husband and Rap giant Shawn Carter aka Jay-Z. It is unknown what prompted the assault, though an elevator camera recorded the entire exchange which has now been released to the public.
The altercation took place on May 5 at a Met Gala after party. While in the elevator at The Standard Hotel, Solange began to yell at Jay Z for several moments before wildly hitting and kicking him. At that point a security guard restrained Solange while Beyonce stepped between her sister and her husband. The Knowles sisters didn’t show any signs of strife at the gala, posing for photos and smiling broadly for the public. It was only a few weeks earlier that the three recording artists spent time together at Coachella. During their time there Solange even brought Beyoncé on stage during her set for a surprise dance performance.
So far no comment has been released at the discovery of this video. Beyonce and Jay Z have been married since April of 2008. In January of 2012 they welcomed their first daughter Blue Ivey Carter into their family.
