Snoop Dogg’s Web Series Reaches 200th Episode

Snoop Dogg‘s Double G News (GGN), which airs on YouTube, has reached its 200th episode. The rapper will celebrate this milestone with a new podcast on iTunes. The first GGN podcast will broadcast the web series’ most popular episode, which featured actor-comedian Seth Rogen. Producer Will.i.am will also make an appearance on the 200th episode.

GGN broadcasted its first on episode in 2011 on the rapper’s WestFestTV YouTube channel. The Cashmere Agency also works on the show, and it handles the creative elements and production for the news series. GGN is a parody of CNN, which features Snoop Dogg hosting fictional news segments. Snoop Dogg stated that he is very proud that his news series has reached 200 episodes, and he is thankful his fans have gravitated to the series.

“This is huge for GGN. We started this as an idea nearly four years ago. I knew my fans would be into it because nobody was giving them that hood perspective,” the rapper said. He added,”No matter who the guest is on the show, people know that Nemo Hoes [Snoop Dogg] is gonna ask the real questions and get real answers.” Ryan Ford of Cashmere Agency said that the rapper has been a great partner to work with over the years. Ford added that providing content for 200 straight weeks is a big accomplishment.

Aside from his YouTube series, Snoop Dogg is also putting in work for his music career. The rapper recently signed a Las Vegas residency at Tao nightclub. His Snoopadelic Carabet shows will launch on March 28th, for which Snoop Dogg will DJ and perform at the nightclub. The rapper is also scheduled to return to Tao for performances on May 2nd and the following night.

Snoop Dogg is prepping the release of his BUSH album as well. The project does not have a specific release date, but it is expected to drop later this year. The fact that Snoop Dogg has not revealed a release date, may indicate that he will put out an unexpected release. The album’s lead single “Peaches N Cream” is scheduled to drop this month. Pharrell Williams produced the entire BUSH album, which will be distributed through Williams’ I Am Other record label.

FDRMX Eyes: From Brazil comes hardcore metal band Eminence. The band has released a music video entitled “Unfold.”
