Snoop Dogg Unveils His ‘Bush’ Album Cover Art

Snoop Dogg is gearing for the highly anticipated release of Bush, his first album under Columbia Records. The rapper unveiled the album’s cover on his various social media accounts, and it seems as though the era is about to get started in earnest. The cover art is clean and graphic; featuring a collection of lush topiaries superimposed over a flat green background. In the front of the image, a blue dog is posting up and sniffing some of the greenery. Although there is no official release date yet, the album is expected to come out in March or shortly thereafter.

Bush is being produced entirely by Pharrell Williams, and Snoop and his team have mentioned collaborations with R&B powerhouses Stevie Wonder and Charlie Wilson as well as Wiz Khalifa, one of Snoop’s frequent collaborators. It has been confirmed that the album’s lead single will be titled “Peaches N Cream,” and Snoop has teased a short sample of the track while promoting the album in the past. Bush will be Snoop’s first solo record released since his 2013 reggae inspired Reincarnated, which was released under the title of Snoop Lion and featured collaborations with Miley Cyrus, Rita Ora, Busta Rhymes, and many others.

This is not the first time that Williams and Snoop have partnered up. In fact, Pharrell produced and appeared on Snoop Dogg’s “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” which topped the charts in 2004. The song garnered two Grammy nominations, and it was Pharrell’s most successful collaborative release until he teamed up with Daft Punk on “Lucky” and Robin Thicke on “Blurred Lines” in 2013. In 2009 the single earned the title of most popular rap song of the decade on an end of year Billboard chart. In 2015 Pharrell won three of four Grammy Awards that he was nominated in for his album Girl and his hugely successful single “Happy.” He was also nominated as a producer for his work on both Beyoncé and Ed Sheeran’s albums.

Recently, Snoop Dogg has been featured on a variety of tracks, the most recognizable being his collaboration with Jason Derulo on “Wiggle,” which peaked at Number 5 on the charts. He has also appeared alongside Psy and Prince Royce. His last personal single to break into the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 was the 2011 “Young, Wild & Free,” which featured Whiz Khalifa and Bruno Mars. “Peaches N Cream” has no official release date, but it is safe to say that the single will make an appearance relatively soon. Snoop Dogg is encouraging fans to support Bush by using the hashtag #FollowTheBush and sharing the cover on their various social media sites.

FDRMX Eyes: Russian band Lirrika has released a music video entitled “Pzdtz/Something.” The music video features a carefree group of people having the time of their lives.
