Snoop Dogg Arrested In Sweden, Suspected Of Being High

We’ve always known that it’s hard being Snoop D-o-double g, and this Saturday night, when the 43-year-old rapper found himself “arrested” (read: temporarily detained) in Sweden following one of his concerts was no exception.

Shortly after his stint on the stage in Uppsala, the rapper was pulled over in his car because the cops thought he was potentially operating the vehicle under the influence of narcotics.  While you’re obviously asking yourself, “why on earth would anybody ever think that Snoop Dogg was high,” the rapper has another explanation: racial profiling.

In a series of Instagram videos, Snoop vented his frustrations, saying “they pulled a n****r over for nothing, taking me to the police station where I’ve got to pee in a cup, for nothing,” and even going so far as to say that he’ll never perform in Sweden again: “2 all my Sweden fans U can blame YA police dept for never seeing me again in your beautiful country.” As if people really needed another reason to hate the police.

Although, to the police’s credit, Sweden isn’t America, and there are different laws when it comes to how much cause you need in order to pull somebody over.  According to Swedish law, all the probably cause the police need is their suspicion in order to make you over and take a urine test.

While Snoop’s frustration over being pulled over after performing what he undoubtedly sees as a public service for all the good stoners of Sweden, it’s hard to imagine that his urine test could possibly come back negative for narcotics.  But then again, Snoop has faced much graver problems in the past.  In 2012, Snoop was arrested in Norway, earning him a two-year ban after he was found guilty of both trying to enter the country with 8 grams of marijuana, and also carrying more cash than is legally allowed without being declared.  Whether or not this arrest played any part in the Swedish cops’s decision to detain the rapper will remain likely remain a mystery, but you can hardly blame them for having their suspicions.

If Snoop Dogg is found guilty of having narcotics in his system at the time of his arrest, the rapper could be forced to go to court where he could potentially face criminal charges.  Guess he could find himself having to go back to Sweden after all.
