Shotty – I’m Glad It’s Over

[jwplatform 6hVtUkjK-Pqiywodl]

Rock band Shotty’s music video is comprised of many nostalgic features. The visual effects alone give off that old school vibe. “I’m Glad It’s Over” is extremely explosive and in your face. The rock ’n pop track begins with an upbeat guitar, and drumming eventually makes its way in. Clips of old video games are shown throughout, while the three-piece band from Seattle jam in what looks like someone’s bedroom. The hot mess of a room perfectly coincides with the enjoyable trashy music that sounds epic to the ears.

The track includes a multitude of synths that really blow your mind. Ironically, the vocals sound somewhat muffled, yet are loud enough for you to hear. The band seems like hardcore fans of video games and cartoons. You will notice the drummer wearing a tank top of Jake from Adventure Time. Try and spot Pokémon there, too. Some of the video games that are featured in the music video are Legend of Zelda, Mortal Kombat, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and X Men 1 and 2.
