The tour that rapper Bow Wow and B2K made famous is back! Hip-hop artists Kid Ink and Dej Loaf are the first headliners announced for the Scream Tour. The tour will be promoted by Live Nation, and it will kick off on March 12th in St. Louis, Missouri. The 24-city tour will embark on a six-week run, and it will conclude on April 26th in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Additional artists are going to be announced in the near future.

Kid Ink spoke to Billboard magazine about his new gig, “I’m excited to be a part of the reintroduction of such a prestigious touring brand as Scream.” He added,” It’s a brand I grew up respecting and admiring. I can’t wait to hit the road and get this started.” The tour is the first project under Scream Nation‘s joint venture between Michael Mauldin and Live Nation. Mauldin is the creator and producer of the Scream Tour. The Scream Tour plans to rebuild its brand in the urban music community by creating more shows and tours throughout the year. The last Scream Tour was almost three years ago. Mauldin spoke to Billboard magazine about the new venture, “The Scream Tour first came to prominence in 2001 and has since played an integral part in the discovery and promotion of some of the most successful artists in urban, hip hop, and pop music.” Other artists who headlined the Scream Tour in the past include Chris BrownCiara, and Trey Songz

Live Nation’s executive president of global talent & artist development, David Zedeck, told Billboard that Live Nation is “proud to expand this incredible experience to a new generation of artists and fans.” The Scream Tour and Mad DJ are working together on a talent contest. The company is conducting a DJ talent search this month and February. The DJs who participate in the competition, will earn a chance to be a part of the shows when the Scream Tour comes to their hometowns. Tickets for the official Scream Nation: The Reintroduction Tour will go on sale on January 30 at Live Nation’s website

Update: The Scream Tour dates, cities, and venues are subject to change. Some media outlets have reported, the tour will conclude on April 26 in Detroit, Michigan.
