Scott Storch Files for Bankruptcy

Mega-star music producer Scott Storch filed for bankruptcy yesterday, officially claiming a meager $3,600 in assets and $100 in cash. In 2010 he was worth $70 million. Storch’s fortune came from producing blockbuster hits for artists like Beyonce, Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake, but he has allegedly blown it all on cars and cocaine.

In 2010, Storch counted a total of 13 cars in the garage of his Miami mansion, including a $600,000 Mercedes SLR and a $1.7 million Bugatti Veyron. He owned a pinkie ring worth $3 million, and a diamond watch that had previously belonged to Michael Jackson. Storch’s penchant for lavish spending extended to his relationships with women. He once had a reputation for escorting socialites like Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and porn star Heather Hunt un exorbitant vacations to places like the French Riviera.

However, Storch’s manager reports that the 41 year-old record producer was also living with an over-the-top drug addiction. The inside of Storch’s mansion was “strewn with garbage and drug paraphernalia,” and he surrounded himself with “fellow addicts, gold diggers, and bumbling handlers.” Many of his shirts were stained with blood that trickled out of his nose at unpredictable times. “Scott didn’t give a fuck,” his manager said. “You can’t be humiliated while you’re high.”

Storch is reported to have once spent $30 million over a 6-month span on drugs. His reported income for 2014 was $10,000, and his music production companies have been recently valued at “$0.” Court documents also reveal that Storch owes creditors a total of $4.4 million.

Storch was arrested in 2009 for grand theft auto when he failed to return a leased Bentley on time. He spent time in and out of intensive inpatient rehab programs, but was then arrested again in 2012 in Las Vegas for possession of cocaine.

“We’d be at the club [in Miami] and I’d decide to take everyone to Las Vegas [on my private jet],” Storch told reporters. “Do more coke. Be up for two days and decide at 11 in the morning to go buy a Rolls-Royce.” “I probably bought 10 cars when I was high,” he added.

Storch is a native of Long Island New York, and first rose to success as a music producer in the early 2000’s. He has worked with such celebrities as Jessica Simpson and Snoop Dogg.
