Ryan Adams, Foo Fighters, Muse, Motörhead, and Todd Rundgren have all been named as headliners at the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan. The festival will take place on June 24th through June 26th at the Naeba Ski Resort in Niigata Prefecture. Some of the artists on the lineup include Macy Gray, FKA twigs, Happy Mondays, Johnny Mar, Of Monsters and Men, and many more. Tickets for the Fuji Rock Festival are going for $334 dollars for three-day passes, and a one-day pass will cost $141 dollars. Billboard estimated that the ticket sales from last year’s festival accumulated $18.6 million dollars, and more than 100,000 people attended the event. Fuji Rock is one of the biggest-earning festivals in Japan.
Ryan Adams begins his European tour today in the United Kingdom at Usher Hall. The rocker will also head to the Leeds Festival in London on February 27th, and he will also make stops in Wolverhampton and Liverpool in the UK. Adams’ tour will travel to Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway, before he returns to the US for his spring tour. Adams will begin his US run at Coachella in April, and he will perform shows in Arizona, Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Kentucky, and several other cities in North America. In July, the rocker will head back to the UK to perform at the 2015 Calling Festival on the 4th.
Besides Fuji Rock, the Foo Fighters will also headline Britain’s Glastonbury Festival on June 26th. The band hasn’t performed at Glastonbury in seventeen years. “We feel incredibly lucky to have confirmed the Foo Fighters for the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury,” Glastonbury’s co-founder, Emily Eavis, said in a statement. Eavis continued,”Very few bands have the power to unite and energies a crowd like Foo Fighters do. We can’t wait for them to rock Worthy Farm on Friday night.” The 2015 Glastonbury Festival will be held on June 24th through June 26th. The legendary Lionel Richie has also been announced as a performer for the festival’s lineup. No other performers have been announced, but in the past the festival’s artist lineup included Bruce Springsteen, Jay-Z, The Rolling Stones, Coldplay, U2, and Beyoncé. The Glastonbury Festival received the Best Festival honor at this year’s NME awards show.
