The Rolling Stones are prepared to take fans on a trip down memory lane with the release of a collection of Limited Edition Clear Vinyl and Album Art Lithograph copies of their iconic releases through ABKCO Records. Albums to be immortalized through the process include 12 X 5, Let It Bleed, and Get Yer Ya-Ya’s Out. The pieces are amongst the first works to be released through Spotlight Gallery, a gallery that specializes in the collection and sale of entertainment memorabilia from the most legendary artists and entertainers.
Only 2,500 copies of the works have been created, and each has been numbered and will be sold with a Certificate of Authenticity. The works will be available for purchase as of noon Eastern Time on June 10, and no additional copies will be released after the first batch has sold out. Spotlight Gallery is celebrating the project with events in both Los Angeles and New York. They have also begun advertising the project with the release of a trailer featuring behind the scenes footage of the creation process.
The albums selected for Spotlight Gallery include some of the most important to The Rolling Stones’ legacy. 12 X 5 symbolizes the band’s second official US release and was largely responsible for inspiring the sounds of the British Invasion on US Rock and Roll at the time. Let It Bleed holds the distinction of being one of the band’s most cohesive releases. The album is universally held in high regard and is considered to be some of the best work from the Rolling Stones. The band made history with the release of Get Yer Ya-Ya’s Out when they became the first group to top the UK charts with a live album. Each album has been painstakingly recreated by Spotlight Gallery and features a facsimile signature from each musician involved with the project.
Over there more than fifty year career The Rolling Stones have released more than twenty studio albums with estimated sales of greater than 250 million. They celebrated their fiftieth anniversary as a band in 2012 and continue to tour to this day. They are currently on the road for a series of performances and have recently rereleased a deluxe edition of their 1971 Sticky Fingers album.
