Number Eight: He Used to Be a Mime. Before he hit it big in Hollywood, Williams was a street mime! Considering his history of talented improvisation, we bet he was really good at it, too.
Number Seven: He Was a Gamer. Williams did a Reddit AMA in 2013, and it was there that he revealed he loves to play video games. At the time, Williams was a fan of Call of Duty, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Battlestations Pacific.
Number Six: His Favorite Celeb to Impersonate Was Jack Nicholson. More than any other celebrity, Williams loved to impersonate the The Shining actor the most. Of all the people who have impersonated Williams, Williams said that Dana Carvey was his favorite impersonator.
Number Five: Disney Apologized to Him With a Picasso Painting. After filming Aladdin, Disney used Williams’ voice in various advertisements. However, this upset Williams, who had no interest in selling things. Disney apologized to him by sending him a Picasso painting worth $1 million.
Number Four: He Owned a Vineyard. You might not think of Williams as being an oenophile, but he actually owned a vineyard. He joked in an interview that him owning a vineyard was sort of like “Gandhi owning a delicatessen.”
Number Three: He Trained With Lance Armstrong. Williams enjoyed occasional cycling, and he even got to train with Lance Armstrong!
Number Two: He Was Overweight as a Child. Williams wasn’t as smooth and hilarious as a child as he was later in life. Because he was overweight, nobody would talk to him, so he entertained himself by making up different voices.
Number One: He Was a Vegetarian. After his open heart surgery, Williams adopted a vegetarian lifestyle. We hope you enjoyed our list of 15 things you didn’t know about Robin Williams!
