Rihanna Denies Cocaine Rumors, Prefers Coke

Following a heavily documented weekend partying like a rockstar at the famed Coachella Music Festival, unapologetic R&B princess Rihanna found herself in the center of a media storm when a Snapchat was misinterpreted by a fan. In a video posted to her social media, fans speculated that Rihanna could be seen snorting cocaine in her party bus before entering the festival. As the video went viral, Rihanna hopped back on social media to defend herself, and she was not amused.

The “FourFiveSeconds” siren denied all claims that she was using cocaine, singling out one user for spreading the video across Instagram. “Your lame ass got some f***ing nerve!!!” Rihanna posted before going on to explain that you would have to be clueless to allege that she was doing cocaine; she vastly prefers joints. “Any fool can see that’s a joint that I’m basing with cigarette.” In case she wasn’t clear enough, the musician clarified the difference between tobacco and cocaine. “Who snorts tobacco??!! FOH witcho ‘never been to a rodeo so someone squeezing their nose means they’re doin coke’ lookin ass.”

Rihanna’s posts became increasingly heated as the user continued to respond and refused to denounce his claims. When Rihanna claimed that the user was defaming her, he defended himself by demanding that Rihanna submit to a drug test to prove that she wasn’t using the drug. He also called the starlet out, claiming “sue me you gotta sue everybody else.”

Since posting her response, the majority or Rihanna’s messages have been taken off of her accounts, though one remains. The final image is a photo on her Instagram account. It is a significantly older photo of the Barbadian songstress sipping from a can of Coca-Cola. The photo has simply been titled with #petty. She may not be a cocaine user, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t a Coke fan. There are also several pictures posted on her accounts of the self-identified “bad gal” enjoying herself in the crowds of the music festival.

Although she was justifiably worked up by the allegations, Rihanna has since moved on to better things, namely teasing fans with additional snippets of her hugely anticipated upcoming album. Yesterday, Rihanna released her new single, “American Oxygen,” on iTunes for purchase. The pop star debuted the single during her performance at the March Madness Music Festival before going on to post the track’s music video as a TIDAL exclusive.

FDRMX Eyes: Luciana is a London native who was dubbed “Queen of Electro.” She and GloVibes have released a music video entitled “One by One.”
