‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ Is Going Live on Stage

Film Concerts Live! is taking E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial and Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark to the concert stage. The feature films will be adapted into live shows featuring symphony orchestras. E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Live in Concert will run from September 4th through the 6th in Los Angeles, California. Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark Live in Concert will make its debut on December 4th, and it will run through January 2nd in Switzerland. 

Film Concerts Live! is also doing live concerts of the films Back to the Future, Home Alone, and Star Trek, and Star Trek Into Darkness. Star Trek: The Ultimate Voyage concert tour will travel to more than 100 cities in North America (US and Canada) next year. The tour will feature a live symphony orchestra performing music from Star Trek movies, television show, and video games. A large (40-foot) screen will be on display during the live show, and it will play scenes from the Star Trek television and film series. The concert is a joint venture between, and CineConcerts. Star Trek: The Ultimate Voyage will begin in Florida in January, and it will wrap in April 2016.

E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial is a film produced and directed by Steven Spielberg in 1982, and the music from the film was scored by John Williams. The film starred Drew Barrymore, Henry Thomas, and Dee Wallace. E.T. is a story about a young boy who becomes friends with an extraterrestrial who is stranded on Earth. Although the film was written by Melissa Mathison, Spielberg came up with the concept for the movie. E.T. was made with a $10 million dollar budget, and the box office smash would go on to gross over $790 million dollars worldwide. 

Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark starring Harrison Ford, Karen Allen, and Paul Freeman, was released in 1981. The film was also directed by Steven Spielberg, and the film’s music was also scored by John Williams. Raiders of the Lost Ark is part of the Indiana Jones’ films series. The other films from the franchise include Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The Indiana Jones four movie-series has grossed over $1 billion dollars, becoming one of the most successful film series in movie history.
