Paul McCartney to Play First Arena Show of 2015

Paul McCartney has revealed the details regarding his first US arena show this year. The rocker will perform on June 21st at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia (PA). The last time McCartney performed in Philadelphia was five years ago. Tickets for his show will go on sale at 12pm (Eastern standard time) on May 1st. He will also perform at a couple of music festivals including the Firefly festival on June 19th, and Lollapalooza on July 31st.

McCartney is currently on tour in Japan, and his remaining dates include shows on April 25th, April 27th, and April 28th. Next month, he will to travel to the United Kingdom for shows on May 23rd and 24th in London, May 27th in Birmingham, and May 28th in Liverpool. McCartney will perform in Marseille (France) on June 5th, Amsterdam (Netherlands) on June 7th and 8th, Dover (Denmark) on June 19th, Roskilde (Denmark) on July 4th, Fornebu (Norway) on July 7th, and Johanneshov (Sweden) on July 9th.

The rocker inducted his fellow Beatles bandmate Ringo Starr into theRock and Roll Hall of Fame last week. Starr was the final Beatle to be inducted as a solo act. “It’s great. It’s the completion. Now the four of us are in as a band, and as individuals. It would have been a shame if he hadn’t been in,” McCartney stated.

As a solo musician, the legend has dropped twenty-four studio albums. Some of those projects include Wild Life, Venus and Mars, Wings at the Speed of Sound, Back to the Egg, Tug of War, and Give My Regards to Broad Street. His latest project entitled New was released two years ago, and it was executive produced by Mark Ronson, Paul Epworth, and Giles Martin.

The project peaked at Number 3 on the US Billboard 200, UK Albums, Canadian Albums, Scottish Albums, and Belgian Albums chart. Five singles were dropped the album including “New,” “Queenie Eye,” “Save Us,” “Appreciate,” and “Early Days.” His single “New” was produced by Mark Ronson, and it peaked on the Japan Hot 100 at Number 4, and Number 18 on the US Adult Contemporary chart. “Queenie Eye” was produced by Paul Epworth, and it impacted the US, Japan, and Belgium music charts.
