Sean “P. Diddy” Combs revealed on social media that he is returning to his music production chair. “Yes the rumors are true. It’s been a long time since I had really focused on producing music. My first love,” Diddy wrote on Instagram. His post continued, “[Producing music] Is the type of love that will never go away! So I’ve come back for 12 months only! I’m back behind these boards.” The hip hop mogul announced he was working on projects with Kanye West, The Weeknd, Pusha T, A$AP Ferg, Cassie, The LOX, and more artists in the near future.
Diddy has contributed his music production on a number of hit singles and platinum-selling albums. His work dates all the way back to the 1990s, and he has worked on projects for Jodeci (Forever My Lady), Mary J.Blige (What’s the 411 and My Life), The Notorious BIG (Ready to Die and Life After Death), TLC (CrazySexyCool), and several more album. Some of Diddy’s biggest production hits includes Mariah Carey’s “Honey,” Jennifer Lopez’s “Feelin’ So Good” featuring Big Pun and Fat Joe, Jay-Z’s “Roc Boys (And the Winner is)…,” and most recently Rick Ross’ 2014 “Nobody” record featuring French Montana.
The mogul is working on his new album MMM (Money Makin’ Mitch), although a release date has not been confirmed yet. Two songs have released from the project, one of the songs is “Big Homie” featuring Rick Ross and French Montana. The other single, “I Want The Love” features Meek Mill. During his rap career, Diddy has dropped six studio albums, including No Way Out, Forever, The Saga Continues…, We Invented the Remix, Press Play, and Last Train to Paris (with Dirty Money).
His debut project featured five hit singles “Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down” (featuring Mase), “I’ll Be Missing You” (featuring 112 and Faith Evans), “It’s All About the Benjamins” (featuring Notorious BIG, The LOX, and Lil Kim), “Been Around the World” (featuring Mase), and “Victory” (featuring Notorious BIG and Busta Rhymes). No Way Out was one of the biggest albums released in 1997, and it was nominated for five Grammy Awards. The project won a Grammy for Best Rap Album, and it eventually sold over seven million copies worldwide.
