Number Fifteen: She Launched The Happy Hippie Foundation. You might be aware that Miley is connected to the Happy Hippie Foundation, but did you know she started it herself? The foundation began as a nonprofit to help vulnerable populations connect with each other and build strength.
Number Fourteen: She Saved Her Best Friend. Her best friend Cheyne Jackson was working at Starbucks when she was looking for a personal assistant. Rather than let him continue to suffer (no offense, Starbucks!), she hired him to be her assistant! Cheyne has danced on stage with Miley and even attends events with her.
Number Thirteen: She Never Lip Syncs. Miley has come under fire for her voice at live performances before, but she just doesn’t care. She’d rather keep her dignity than perform while lip syncing.
Number Twelve: She Has a Teddy Roosevelt Tat. The singer has several tattoos, but one of them is of a Teddy Roosevelt quote. The quote reads “So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.” In essence, she’s trashing bystanders who would rather watch than do something.
Number Eleven: Hannah Montana Didn’t Make Her Rich. In 2010, when Hannah Montana was at the peak of its popularity, Miley was only being paid $15,000 per episode, far below the industry standard. To put it in perspective, Selena Gomez received $25,000 per episode of Wizards of Waverly Place, and Miranda Cosgrove received $180,000 per episode of iCarly.
Number Ten: Dolly Parton Is Her Godmother. Considering Miley’s father is Billy Ray Cyrus, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that she has connections to Dolly, but Billy and Dolly were so close that he asked her to be Miley’s godmother. Aw.
Number Nine: She’s a Feminist. Despite the fact that some people accuse Miley of being degrading for wearing ridiculous outfits, sticking her tongue out and twerking, Miley calls herself a feminist because she teaches women not to be afraid of themselves or their surroundings. She also mentions that her antics are more of a performance than part of her personality.
