Paul McCartney’s New ‘New’ – Deluxe Edition

Paul McCartney is offering something even newer than his 2013 hit album New. The album will be released October 28th, 2014 as a unique two CD and DVD Collector’s Edition. The special release will be in a hardback book including bonus content such as previously unreleased tracks, live recordings, an album documentary, music videos, and behind the scenes footage. Originally, the idea was for Paul to work on a few songs with each of the album’s four, young, British producers to see which one he worked best with, and proceed to complete the album with that one producer. What actually ended up happening was a flood of inspiration from all four, so all four were brought on board for the remainder of the project (he is Paul McCartney, after all)! The new collector’s edition is packed with exclusive content that “tells the story of the making of the album as well as capturing unique moments during the international promotion campaign,” according to McCartney’s website.

The new New tracklist for the deluxe collector’s edition includes (on Disc One): 1. Save Us, 2. Alligator, 3. On My Way To Work, 4. Queenie Eye, 5. Early Days, 6. New, 7. Appreciate, 8. Everybody Out There, 9. Hosanna, 10. I Can Bet, 11. Looking At Her, 12. Road, 13. Turned Out, 14. Get Me Out Of Here Plus Scared (which is a hidden track). Disc Two includes 1. Disc Three is the collector’s DVD and includes 1. Something New, the documentary directed by Don Letts, which features commentary from the album’s four producers, Ethan Johns, Paul Epworth, Mark Ronson, Martin Giles, and Paul McCartney as well, 2.
