Number Eight: He Has Some Controversial Album Covers. Manson’s cover for his album Mechanical Animals features his head on a naked, alien-like body. The cover was deemed “too offensive” by Target, Wal-Mart and K-Mart, and the three giant retailers refused to sell it.

Number Seven: He Was Almost Willy Wonka. Manson’s favorite movie is the 1971 version of Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory. He even wanted to play Wonka in the remake, but the role was given to Johnny Depp instead.

Number Six: He Is a Video Game Fan. Manson is such a big fan of video games that he has even brought a Nintendo DS on tour with him for when he’s bored. He reportedly plays games like Mario Kart and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.

Number Five: He Has Even Appeared in Video Games! As a voice, anyway. In 2005’s Area 51, Manson played an alien named Edgar.

Number Four: He Loves Absinthe. Manson loves absinthe so much that he even made his own brand of it! The absinthe is called Mansinthe, and the label shows him as an old man on it. He won a gold medal for Mansinthe in 2008.

Number Three: He Has Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome. Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome causes Manson to have a faster-than-normal heart rate. This is caused by an abnormal electrical pathway in the heart. Some other famous singers have the condition, including Meat Loaf and Jessie J.

Number Two: Some People Still Think He Was on The Wonder YearsThough Manson bears an undeniable resemblance to the child actor who played the character of Paul on The Wonder Years, that definitely was not him. The actor who played Paul is named Josh Saviano.

Number One: He Has Quite a Few Scars. According to Manson’s book called The Long Road Out of Hell, Manson has more than 450 scars all over his body. He has a history of cutting himself on stage, so this makes sense.
