Magenta Skycode’s “Kipling” starts off with strong vocals and a calm image, which sets the tone for the rest of this echoing, uplifting video. A man climbs off of a beach beside gray water, up the dunes and into a forest, pulling himself up before running through the trees, exploring as he went. It seems like he is being followed by a large white wolf-like dog, almost as if playing tag, but at the same time, they are doing similar things. By the end, you realize that the haven’t been shown on screen at the same time, so it is not entirely clear if they are supposed to be separate entities, or if the wolf is the free spirit of the man that is running through the forest or climbing up the steppes in order to see the vast landscape. It is a great video to really get a feel for the vast beauty of nature and the freedom it can give a person experiencing it.
