Madonna Will Embark on ‘Rebel Heart’ World Tour

Madonna will launch her Rebel Heart worldwide tour on August 29th in Miami (FL). The tour will run twenty-one shows in North America through the month of October. Madonna will travel to Atlanta (GA), Philadelphia (PA), New York (NY), Brooklyn (NY), Chicago (IL), Toronto (ON), and more cities. The North America tour dates are scheduled to conclude on October 27th in Los Angeles (CA). 

In November, the pop singer will also travel to the UK and Europe, and perform fourteen dates through the month of December. Madonna‘s overseas leg begins in Germany on November 4th, before she travels to Sweden, Denmark, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, Scotland, and more. Her last show will be in Glasgow, Scotland on December 20th. According to Billboard magazine, Madonna will take her Rebel Heart worldwide show to Asia and Australia at the beginning of 2016. The last time the pop icon performed in Australia was in 1993 for her Girlie Show: Live Down Under tour, which was televised on the HBO network. 

The Rebel Heart tour will be produced by Live Nation‘s Global Touring division, which made the tour announcement today. This marks Madonna’s fifth tour with Arthur Fogel, who is the chairman of the global division. Together, the pop icon and Fogel have grossed over one billion dollars, with more than seven million tickets sold at 289 concerts. Madonna’s last tour MDNA, had 88-dates and it earned $305 million dollars in 2012. MDNA was the top grossing tour that year. Tickets for her Rebel Heart tour will available to purchase starting on March 9th on Ticketmaster’s website. 

Madonna just scored her 71st Top 40 hit on the Official UK Singles Chart with “Living For Love.” The pop icon now holds the record as the woman with the most Top 40 songs on the UK Singles Chart. “Living For Love” was commercially released on the same day Madonna performed at the Brit Awards, which was held on February 25th. Her performance assisted “Living for Love” into a Number 26 debut on the UK music charts. In February, the singer also made history with “Living for Love” on the US Billboard chart. The Billboard entry helped Madonna earn her 44th Number 1 on the Dance Club Songs chart.
