Madonna is Heading For Historic Run on UK Charts

Madonna is heading for her 71st Top 40 hit on the Official UK Singles Chart with “Living For Love.” If the pop icon is able to make it to the Top 40, this will extend her record as the woman with the most Top 40 songs on the UK Singles Chart. “Living For Love” was commercially dropped on the same day Madonna performed the hit at the Brit Awards. Although the pop singer took a horrible fall on the stage, it seems the performance helped boost her chart debut of “Living for Love.” Madonna immediately let her fans know she was okay after her stage ordeal, but the singer recently said she suffered whiplash from the fall.

Last month, Madonna also made history on the US Billboard chart, by earning her 44th Number 1 on the Dance Club Songs chart. The pop singer’s “Living for Love” reached the top on the dance charts, which measures their reports from a national sample of club DJs. This new record tied Madonna with George Strait, who also has 44 Number 1 singles on the Hot Country Songs chart. “Living for Love” is featured on Madonna’s Rebel Heart album, which will officially be released on March 10th. Some of the singers’s other number one singles on the dance chart include “Material Girl” (1985), “Like a Prayer” (1989), “Justify My Love” (1991), and “Me Against the Music” featuring Britney Spears (2003).

Madonna and her fans can rest easy, now that the hacker of her Rebel Heartalbum has been indicted. Israeli police arrested Adi Lederman in January, and now he has been charged with four counts of fraud. His charges include computer trespassing, copyright infringement, obstructing the investigation, and prohibited secret monitoring. The month-long investigation by the Israeli’s Lahav 433 proved Lederman broke into Madonna’s personal computer, and stole several of her music files. Some of her stolen files included rehearsal audio from her 2015 Grammy performance, and a copy of Madonna’s “Give Me All Your Luvin’.” Lederman sold the pop icon’s song files to an unknown sources for more than ten-thousand dollars. The suspect also broke into the private Apple iCloud accounts of several people, and fifteen other personal email accounts.
