Actor Macaulay Culkin has done a surprisingly good job at staying in the shadows since his childhood acting career shot him into fame as the “cute little kid.” Now 35 years old, the man is a bit of a recluse, so it should not come as a shock that there are a lot of things many people don’t know about him. Number Fifteen: His Role in Home Alone Was Written Specifically for Him. Director Chris Columbus auditioned more than 100 kids for the part of Kevin in Home Alone, but he knew that Culkin would eventually play the part.

Number Fourteen: His Brother Was Also in Home Alone. Kieran Culkin can also be seen in the cult classic film as Kevin’s cousin, Fuller. Kiernan has since appeared in several other films.

Number Thirteen: He Is Part of The Pizza Underground. The Pizza Underground is a “rock band” that is designed to parody songs by The Velvet Underground. Culkin is part of the band, along with Phoebe Kreutz.

Number Twelve: He Got Married When He Was 17. When Culkin was just 17 years old, he got married to Rachel Miner. However, they were only married for two short years before they got divorced.

Number Eleven: He Also Dated Mila Kunis. Though they may seem like an unseemly pair, Culkin and Kunis dated for an impressive eight years before they split. The breakup was apparently amicable, and they remained close friends afterward.

Number Ten: He Was the First Child Actor to Receive $1 Million for a Single Movie. Obviously, he got his $1 million for Home Alone. His parents reportedly got into a legal battle about what to do with the money he earned.
