Staying beautiful when it’s below zero and snowing can be difficult, but it’s not impossible! Here, we present our list of the top 10 winter beauty tips anybody can use. Stay warm, and more importantly, stay cute with these helpful tips that will keep you going all winter long. Check out part one below, and stay tuned for part two, coming soon!

Number Ten: Dress Warmly. It’s hard to look cute when you’re freezing! To properly combat the cold, make sure you wear nice cotton-lined gloves any time the temperature drops below 40 degrees Fahrenheit so your hands don’t crack. Another tip for how to dress is to try covering up your face with a scarf when it’s windy out. You don’t want all the work you put into looking beautiful ruined by cold, cracked skin.

Number Nine: Wear Sunscreen. We can’t emphasize the importance of this enough. It might be cold, but that doesn’t make you immune to the sun! No matter how cold it is outside or how pressed for time you are, don’t forget to put sunscreen on your face before going outside. It could save your life in the long run.

Number Eight: Brush Your Skin. This tip might sound strange, but trust us – it works! It’s no secret that wintertime means worse circulation in your body, so how do you improve your circulation without spending hours in the doctor’s office? Try brushing it! Before you shower, use a dry brush and begin brushing the soles of your feet. Brush upward toward your heart, and cover each area of your skin only once. The brushing will increase your circulation and will feel good too!

Number Seven: Stay Hydrated. Hydrating your skin is of utmost importance in the winter time when your skin is more prone to drying out. If you have coconut oil lying around, try rubbing it all over your body before you shower. You could also use olive oil, or if you have oily skin, a cleanser that contains soapwort or Castile soap.

Number Six: Use Hot Oil on Your Hair. At least once throughout the winter, give your hair a hot oil treatment. To do this at home, apply a quarter-sized dollop of olive or coconut oil to your dry hair, cover your hair with a shower cap and wrap a towel around the whole situation. Wait 15 minutes, and then shampoo and condition as per usual. Stay tuned for part two of our list of the top 10 winter beauty tips, coming soon!
