Number Ten: A Quick Headache Cure

If you have a headache or are feeling sick and don’t want to take aspirin, try a handful of almonds. Raw almonds have a chemical called salicin, that when mixed with saliva and gastric juices, creates salicylic acid, which is the same chemical in aspirin. Eating 10 to 12 almonds will help ease the pain.

Number Nine: Getting Ink Out of Clothes

If you get ink on your clothes, you might be able to use hairspray to get out the stain. Hairsprays with alcohol work the best since alcohol will break up stains. This solution also works best on polyester fabrics and blends. Furthermore, be sure to wash your clothing after trying the hairspray.

Number Eight: Itchy Mosquito Bites

To stop the itch of a mosquito bite without the use of chemical creams, try covering the affected area using a glue stick. The seal created by the glue will help starve the wound of oxygen, which causes the itch in the first place. People use nail polish on bug bites for the same reason.

Number Seven: One of the Coolest Life Hacks – Gum on Your Shoe

There are a number of remedies to getting gum off of your shoe, including sticking it in the freezer. But if you don’t want your shoes touching your frozen vegetables, WD-40 works just as well. Spraying the lubricant on the gum will dissolve its adhesive properties, making it possible to wipe the gum off. Again, clean the shoe after using the WD-40.

Number Six: Getting Rid of Hiccups

One fairly effective method of getting rid of hiccups is holding your breath and swallowing three times. This action will interrupt the nerve impulse between the brain and the diaphragm. By doing this, you stop the spasms in the diaphragm, essentially stopping the hiccups. It is the same principle when you drink water to get rid of hiccups.
