Number Ten: Turkey. Today, the power of Turkey’s battle forces comes from their main battle tank, the Altay. The version primarily used is the fourth of its kind after three prototypes. Still fairly new, Turkey controls 250 units of the machinery, estimated at a cost of $2 billion. Still in production, Turkey is expecting three more orders to arrive.

Number Nine: Ukraine. The main battle tank used in the Ukraine is the T-84, a variation of the original T-80. First produced in 1999, it is the most recent variation and used today. It is composed of steel, composite armor, and equipped with 125 mm. smoothbore KBA-3 cannon, 7.62 mm. KT-7.62 coaxial machine gun, 12.7 mm. KT-12.7 anti-aircraft machine gun, and KMDB 6TD-2 6-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 1,200 HP.

Number Eight: Pakistan. Pakistan’s main battle tank is the Al-Khalid. Being the most recent of Pakistani tanks, the Al-Khalid was first produced in 2001 and used to this day. The cost per unit is approximately $4.7 million and comes equipped with a 125 mm smoothbore gun with 39 rounds, 7.62 mm coaxial MG with 3000 rounds, 12.7 mm external AA MG with 500 rounds, and a KMDB 6TD-2 6-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 1,200 HP.

Number Seven: Egypt. The forces of Egypt are primarily supported with the power from its main battle tank, the Ramses II. This tank was designed especially for Egypt’s use and is still used today. The Ramses II is equipped with a 105 mm.  M68 rifled cannon, 7.62 mm. SGMT medium coaxial machine gun, .50-caliber M2HB heavy machine gun, and TCM AVDS-1790-5A turbocharged engine producing 908 HP.

Number Six: Syria. Syria is known to battle with the forces of five different types of main battle tanks: the T-55, T-62, T-72, T-90, and PT-76. The most elite of the five is the T-90, of which the country is estimated to own about six. Less than 80 exist of the light, amphibious PT-76. Of the remaining three types, it is projected that up to 5,000 may exist, though many have been donated for use in warring countries in need of forces (Iran, Lebanon).
