The Flash: 15 Things You Didn’t Know (Part 2)

We already brought you part one of our list of 15 things you probably did not know about the Flash, and now we’re back with part two! Check out eight more fascinating facts about the popular comic book character that you definitely (probably) did not know below. You might be surprised by what you find out!

Number Eight: He Was Put on Trial. The Flash went on trial for his murder of the Reverse-Flash (which we mentioned in part one of this list). He was eventually found guilty, but because the Reverse-Flash turned out to still be alive, his conscience was cleared.

Number Seven: He Fights at the Speed of Light. You probably know that he travels at the speed of light and can break through time, but did you know he can fight at the speed of light too? The Flash is able to use an infinite mass punch when he fights that travels at the speed of light.

Number Six: He Travels Through Time on a Treadmill. It might sound crazy, but it’s true! He travels on something called the Cosmic Treadmill that allows him to travel to specific points in time with extreme accuracy.

Number Five: His Sidekick Was Also His Replacement. Wally West began as the Flash’s sidekick; however, he eventually became his replacement. And West isn’t the only person to become the Flash after Barry Allen. Allen’s grandson from the 30th century, Bart Allen, also became the character at one point.

Number Four: His Enemy Secretly Wants to Be Him. It’s no secret that the Flash’s biggest enemy is Reverse-Flash. Though Reverse-Flash is very powerful and obviously insane, his insanity and malice toward the Flash all stem from a strong desire to become him.

Number Three: He’s Faster Than Superman. This one should be obvious, but it’s not for some people. Because of Superman’s status as an icon, some fans continue to insist that he’s faster than the Flash. However, this simply isn’t true, and the Flash has been proven to outpace Superman.

Number Two: He Once Wore Green Lantern’s Ring. The Flash wore Hal Jordan’s (the Green Lantern) ring after DC Comics did their big reboot in 2011. Barry wore the ring when the two were taken to an alien gladiator arena.

Number One: He Broke Reality. Barry broke reality one day when he was attempting to stop his enemy, Reverse-Flash, from murdering his mom. He traveled so fast that he broke time and shifted reality into a broken state. We hope you enjoyed our list of 15 things you didn’t know about the Flash!
