Tamar Braxton announced on Atlanta’s V103 radio station that she will be releasing her fourth studio album in April. The lead single from the forthcoming album, Let Me Know, debuted at Number 29 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Songs charts. The song also peaked at Number 2 on the Billboard Trending 140 chart, and made it to Number 9 on The Urban R&B charts. This album will be the follow-up to her sophomore album entitled, Love And War. Braxton’s Love And War album was released in 2013, and debuted at Number 2 on the Billboard 200 charts.
Tamar Braxton is not only a recording artist, she is also a reality television star and television host. Braxton Family Values is a reality show featuring the lives of Tamar and her sisters; including Grammy Award winning artist Toni Braxton, Traci Braxton, Towanda Braxton, and Trina Braxton. The reality show airs on WE tv network and first aired in 2011. So far, no official announcement has been made regardingBraxton Family Values‘ fifth season.
Braxton’s other reality show, Tamar and Vince, is a spin-off of Braxton Family Values. Tamar and Vincealso airs on the same network. This show chronicles the lives of Braxton and her record executive husband, Vincent Herbert. The Real is a talk-variety show that airs on Fox and BET. Braxton co-hosts The Real along with Adrienne Bailon, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai, and Tamera Mowry-Housley.
Braxton spoke in an interview about constantly living in her sister Toni Braxton’s shadow, “I’m still introduced as her sister. Which is fine. I am her sister. And she’s an icon. Am I that full of myself that I don’t want to be Toni Braxton’s little sister? That’s who I am”. That particular interview was conducted on 2013.
Today, she still may be introduced as Toni’s sister, but Tamar Braxton continues to make a name for herself. She headlined the Love and War Tour in 2014, and hosted Soul Train’s Red Carpet Show late last year. Tamar Braxton can also add clothing designer to her extensive resume. Braxton debuted her collection of apparel and shoes named Tamar in 2014.
