Starbucks: 15 Things You Didn’t Know (Part 1)

Starbucks is perhaps the most recognizable coffee chain in the world. The wildly popular coffee franchise might be on every block, but there are still some things about it that many people don’t know. Here, we present our list of 15 things you didn’t know about Starbucks. Check out part one below, and stay tuned for part two, coming soon!

Number Fifteen: The Average Customer Comes in Six Times a Month. And the most loyal 20 percent of Starbucks’ customer base come in at least 16 – yes, 16 – times every month. Where do you fall on that spectrum?

Number Fourteen: Some Locations Offer Dinner and Drinks. Some special Starbucks locations offer more than the standard snack fare in coffee. In fact, some locations offer full meal options along with booze options as well. Menu items at these locations include truffle mac and cheese, artichoke and goat cheese flatbreads, plus wine and beer.

Number Thirteen: Living Near a Starbucks Increases the Value of Your Home. It’s true! One study revealed that property values in a neighborhood double when a Starbucks moves in. Hate on it all you want, but nobody can deny the benefit of living near one of its locations.

Number Twelve: You’ll Never Be Able to Try Every Drink Combination. There are more than 87,000 different combinations of drinks you can try on the menu. Even if you did get through all of them, there are bound to be new drink options by the time you finish, so just go ahead and admit that it’s never going to happen.

Number Eleven: You Can Meet a Fellow Starbucks Lover Online. The franchise partnered with Match.com so that users can select an option to “meet at Starbucks” for their first date. Aw!

Number Ten: They Don’t Sell CDs Anymore. You might remember that every location used to have a wide selection of CDs by various artists; however, as of March 2015, the chain stopped selling CDs. And who can blame them? The pool of people who still listen to CDs is becoming shallower with every second.

Number Nine: Don’t Drink That Trenta Too Quickly. Because your body literally can’t handle it. The amount of liquid that fits in Starbucks’ “trenta” cup is more than the amount of liquid your stomach can hold. Stay tuned for part two of our list of 15 things you didn’t know about Starbucks, coming soon!
