With E3’s release of the updated Star Wars: Battlefront franchise, people are anxiously awaiting November 17th when the game will finally be within their grasp. Coming out exactly 10 days before the infamous annual Black Friday, Star Wars fans will not have to battle each other at the big box stores to get started battling the forces of evil (or good).
The trailer, which we posted below, features cutscene footage along with actual in-game play, and all of it looks amazing. With the XboxONE and Playstation 4’s souped-up graphics cards and incredible rendering engines, the newest installment of Star Wars: Battlefront makes you feel as if you are really in the caverns of Tatooine or the frozen tundras of Hoth facing down hordes of Imperial Forces. Based off of the footage from E3 and the brand new footage that’s due to be revealed at New York Comic-Con 2015 in October, fans will finally get to feel immersed in battle on distant worlds in “a galaxy far, far away.”
Star Wars has been nearly everywhere since director of the upcoming Star Wars movie J.J. Abrams launched their media campaign. Even diehard skeptics of the recent prequel trilogy cannot contain their excitement to see the cast from the ’77 original Star Wars film on the big screen again for more adventures. Disney (who now own the rights to Star Wars) has already been releasing toys and other merchandise months before the new movie is to be released on Christmas. The toy that has been receiving the most hype is the BB-8 droid toy by Sphero, which can be remotely controlled via an app on your smartphone.
Personally, nothing has me more exited to dive back into the Star Wars universe than Star Wars: Battlefront. I was a huge fan of the first two installments and cannot wait to finally play online with people all over the globe, coordinating assaults, and rallying defenses. I have resisted purchasing a next-generation game console for some time now, but this game has made me determined to get my hands on one before November 17th when Battlefront comes out.
