Sia: 15 Things You Didn’t Know (Part 1)

Sia is one of the most recognizable and yet enigmatic artists in the music industry. The eccentric and notoriously camera-shy performer may have been around the block a few times, but she’s still going strong. However, despite the fact that Sia has spent a considerable amount of time in the spotlight and under the scrutiny of the public eye, there are still some things that many people don’t know. Number Fifteen: Her Full Name Is Pretty Long. You might know that Sia’s last name is Furler, but did you know her full name is Sia Kate Isobelle Furler? Well, now you do!

Number Fourteen: She Moved to New York When She Was 30. Sia was born in Adelaide, in Australia, and she attended both primary and secondary school there. She subsequently moved to London, and she eventually moved to New York when she was 30 years old.

Number Thirteen: She Has Graves’ Disease. Graves’ Disease is an autoimmune disorder related to issues of the thyroid gland. Furler suffers from Graves’ Disease and has been vocal about it on her Twitter account.

Number Twelve: She Has a Strange Relationship With Her Father. Furler has described her father as having two separate personalities. One of his personalities, called “Phil,” was a great dad; however, “Stan” was the scary side of him.

Number Eleven: She Truly Hates Fame. Some celebrities say they don’t like fame just as a way to humble themselves. Sia, on the other hand, has absolutely no interest in being famous, which is part of the reason she always covers her face.

Number Ten: She Is Vegan. It’s true! Furler has revealed on her Twitter account that she is vegan, and she considers her diet a “special treat” for her body.

Number Nine: She’s No Stranger to Tragedy. Sia has had an extremely lucky course of life, but not everything was so lucky.
