Selena Gomez is releasing a new single with Zedd entitled “I Want You to Know.” The song, which was written by Ryan Tedder, will drop on February 23rd. Gomez and Zedd have both posted photos on social media leading up to their worldwide single release. The most recent photo features a glimpse of the duo’s upcoming music video, in which Gomez is wearing seventies-inspired attire.
Besides her music career, Gomez is also filming The Fundamentals of Caregiving alongside Paul Rudd (This Is 40, Wanderlust). The film is based on the novel of the same name, which is centered around a man (Rudd) escaping divorce who barely qualifies as a professional caregiver. Ironically, Rudd’s character is the caretaker for a teenage boy who has muscular dystrophy. Gomez will play an outspoken woman, Dot, who hitches a ride with Rudd and the teenage boy during a road trip. The film is being shot in Atlanta (Georgia), and the release date for the film will be announced some time soon. Gomez’s acting career began when she was featured on the children’s television show Barney & Friends in the 2000s. The actress would go on to star on a number of television shows, including a starring role on Disney channel’s The Wizards of Waverly Place. The show aired for four seasons from 2007 to 2012. Gomez’s film career includes roles in Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over, Ramona and Beezus, Monte Carlo, Spring Breakers, Behaving Badly, and several other movies.
This year, the actress is also lending her voice for the animated film, Hotel Transylvania 2. The film will hit theaters on September 25th, and it also stars Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Fran Drescher, and Andy Samberg. Selena Gomez was recently asked if she was going to attend the Comedy Central roasting of her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber. Gomez stated that she will not be attending the event, although she is expected to be one of the subjects of the comedian’s jokes. The Bieber roast will air on Comedy Central on March 30th.
