Robyn will host and perform at the Tekla Festival in Sweden, which promotes women in technology. The festival will take place on April 18th at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Among the tech companies that will be at event are Spotify and Google. “Tekla is a festival for girls, in which they get to sample different areas of future technology in what I believe will be a fun and imaginative environment,” Robyn said in a statement (via Pitchfork). In 2013, Robyn was honored with Stockholm’s Great Prize by the KTH Royal Institute of Technology. The award recognized the singer’s artistic contributions and embrace of technology.
Robyn has dropped eight studio albums, including her “Body Talk” collection of albums. In 2010, the pop singer released three projects,Body Talk, Body Talk Pt. 1, and Body Talk Pt. 2. Her other albums include Robyn Is Here, My Truth, Don’t Stop the Music, Robyn, and Do It Again with Royksopp. Her debut album, Robyn Is Here, sold over one million copies worldwide. Do It Again was Robyn and Royksopp’s first Number 1 album.
Besides its success in the US, the album also made an impact on several other music charts. It reached Number 3 on the UK Indie Albums and Norwegian Albums Chart. It also peaked at Number 5 on the Danish chart and the Number 15 position on the Canadian Albums Chart. In order to promote the project, Robyn and Royksopp embarked on the Do It Again Tour in 2014.
