Paul McCartney Offers Advice to Oasis Brothers

By now, most people are aware of the feud going on between brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher. For those who don’t know the story behind the feud, here’s the short version; the Gallagher brothers were the lead singers of the band Oasis. They were the only siblings in the four member band, and their constant fighting led to the disbandment of Oasis in 2009. Fast forward six years later, and the chance of an Oasis reunion is still very unlikely. Earlier this year, Noel Gallagher said that he would reunite with his former band, but he would only do it for a large amount of money. He even stated that Oasis’ glory days are over, and the rocker believes reuniting with his band would destroy Oasis’ legacy.

Despite Noel’s hesitation or unwillingness to reunite with the band, Oasis fans are still hopeful the band will put their differences aside and record music together again. Paul McCartney is one person in particular who would love to see an Oasis reunion, and the rock legend offered the Gallagher brothers some advice. “Just get together and make some good music. But they have to want to do it,” McCartney stated. He continued,”I think a lot of people would like them to do that. They are pretty cool guys.” Although McCartney wants the brothers to settle their differences, he is doubtful Noel and Liam will ever repair their relationship. “I don’t know if they will ever make up. It would be good because I think everyone likes brothers to like each other and make up,” the Beatles legend stated. McCartney added,”It’s a pity because they are very good together. Like many brothers, they are crazy. But it would be nice if they got together.”

Never one to mince words, Noel spoke to Rolling Stone magazine earlier this month in regards to Zayn Malik’s decision to leave One Direction. Noel told the magazine that he laughed out loud when he read Malik’s statement that he wanted to be a normal 22-year old. “You can be f**king anything that moves and getting paid half a million dollars a week, you f**king idiot. You want to be a normal 22-year old? Have you met any normal 22-year olds? They’re f**king shit-for-brains,” Noel told Rolling Stone. After Liam Gallagher heard about Noel’s comments to Malik, Liam sent a message to his brother on social media. “Hey NG [Noel Gallagher] leave those 1d kids alone,” he wrote.
