Ozzy Osbourne: 15 Things You Didn’t Know (Part 2)

We already brought you part one of our list of 15 things you probably didn’t know about Ozzy Osbourne, and now we’re back with part two! Check out eight more fascinating tidbits about the Black Sabbath vocalist that you definitely (probably) didn’t know. You might be surprised by what you learn!

Number Eight: He Can’t Cook Very Well. According to an interview he did, the only thing he can really cook is french fries. Well, it’s a good thing he’s married!

Number Seven: He Almost Named His Band Blues Band Margarine. As a riff off of the brand of margarine called Blue Band Margarine, Osbourne almost called his band Blues Band Margarine. They eventually settled on Black Sabbath, thankfully.

Number Six: He Has Done Some Considerable Acting. Though you are probably aware that Osbourne was on a reality show, he has also been featured in several other things. He was in an ad for I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter, he played a pastor in the 1983 movie Trick or Treat, and recently he played himself in an episode of CSI.

Number Five: He Is Famous in Brazil…for Another Reason. Just like we have Where’s Waldo? in America, in Brazil, they have Where’s Ozzy Osbourne? A Sao Paulo radio station challenged fans to find him in a giant cartoon.

Number Four: He Has Abused Several Animals. You might know that Osbourne has bit the head off of a bird, but did you know he also bit the head off of a bat? He also once threw a shark carcass through a hotel room window.

Number Three: On the Opposite Spectrum, His Music Has Also Saved at Least One Life. Though he has mercilessly killed several animals, his music has also saved a life. One eight-year-old autistic boy named Joshua Robb ran away to escape his parents, and police had to play “No More Tears” from loudspeakers to lure him back from the woods he ran to.

Number Two: He Was Almost Fired From His Own Band. His bandmates were concerned about Osbourne’s substance abuse, not to mention his unreliability. Because of this, he was briefly replaced with Ronnie James Dio, but he eventually came back.

Number One: He Has Stage Fright. This one might shock you. Osbourne has admitted that he actually gets extremely nervous and even suffers from stage fright before every performance.
