O.J. Simpson: 15 Things You Didn’t Know (Part 1)

O.J. Simpson was one of the most well-known football players, but today he is best known for being part of one of the most notorious trials of all time. Though Simpson has spent an enormous amount of time in the media and under the scrutiny of the public eye, there are still some things that many people don’t know about him. With that in mind, here we present our list of 15 things you probably didn’t know about O.J. Number Fifteen: He Pleaded Guilty to Spousal Abuse. Simpson was married to his second wife, Nicole Brown, for seven years before Brown filed for divorce in 1992. In 1989, Simpson pleaded no contest to charges of spousal abuse against Brown.

Number Fourteen: Kris Jenner Still Feels Guilty. In September of 2015, Jenner said that she will “always feel guilty” about the death of Nicole Brown. Specifically, she feels guilty about not speaking up more or saying something when she could sense something was wrong.

Number Thirteen: The White Bronco Is Worth an Insane Amount of Money. The white Bronco that Simpson drove in his infamous chase was reportedly purchased by a collector after the trial for $75,000. The selling price was nearly twice the car’s original value.

Number Twelve: He Was Part of FrogmenFrogmen was a show that featured fictional U.S. Navy SEALS and was similar to The A-Team, but it never made it to the air. The show was completed several months before the murders, but NBC chose not to air it.

Number Eleven: He Was Photoshopped by TimeThe issue of Time magazine featuring Simpson’s mugshot shows his face significantly darkened from the original mugshot. Newsweek also published the mugshot, and side by side, the two covers created much controversy, including allegations that the Time cover was racist.

Number Ten: He Inspired Activism in Denise Brown. Denise, Nicole’s sister, now dedicates her life to preventing domestic violence after the tragedy she went through with her sister. Denise is the cofounder and president of the Nicole Brown Foundation.

Number Nine: Simpson Hid at the Kardashian Residence. After the murder, Simpson took refuge at the Kardashian’s house, where Simpson’s defense lawyer, Robert Kardashian, lived. Kardashian was seen carrying a garment bag out of the crime scene that may have held the murder weapon or other incriminating evidence.
