Nicki Minaj is one of the most respected and recognizable females – or people, for that matter – in the music industry. However, despite the fact that Minaj has spent a considerable amount of time in the spotlight and under the scrutiny of the public eye, there are still some things that many people don’t know. Number Fifteen: She Collaborated With Whoopi. Minaj released the cast for the show she is working on with ABC Family last month, and included on the list of names was Whoopi Goldberg. Minaj has cast Goldberg as a neighbor named Miss Martha.
Number Fourteen: She Only Has One Tattoo. The only real tattoo on Minaj’s body is in Chinese, and it reads, “God is always with you.” The tattoo is on her arm.
Number Thirteen: She Loves Chocolate. Minaj has said that her favorite chocolate candies of all time are Twix and Kit-Kats.
Number Twelve: Her Dad Burned Down Her House. In 1987, Minaj’s father, who was an alcoholic and had an extremely bad temper, burned down their family’s house. Minaj obviously survived, but she lived through a tumultuous childhood.
Number Eleven: She Worked at Red Lobster. It’s true! Before Minaj hit it big, she worked at Red Lobster in the Bronx as a waitress. She was eventually fired for being discourteous to customers.
Number Ten: She Has Been Fired From at Least 15 Jobs. At least! We already mentioned that Minaj was fired from Red Lobster for being discourteous to customers, but according to her, she has been fired from “at least” 15 other jobs for the same or similar reasons. Minaj also worked as an administrative assistant before going into music.
