Nick Jonas is joining Fox‘s horror comedy anthology, Scream Queens. The pop singer has been added for a recurring role on the television show. As previously reported, Scream Queens also stars Jaime Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Joe Manganiello, and Keke Palmer. A couple of weeks ago, Fox announced pop star Ariana Grande will guest star on the show as well. The Fox network will air fifteen episodes in season one, and it will premiere in the fall. The first season will be set on a college campus after a series of murders took place on campus. Scream Queens is created by Glee creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan.
Nick Jonas recently sat down with Rolling Stone magazine to discuss his solo music career. After The Jonas Brothers split, the singer said he didn’t know what direction to take his career at first, “There were a couple of months of sitting around and doing nothing. Then I woke up one morning and I thought, ‘this is not my life.’ I’m going to go work that much harder.” Jonas’ resurgence as a pop star started with his hit “Jealous,” a Billboard Hot 100 song that also went to Number 1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart. Jonas was asked if he feared he would receive backlash from his old fans, who once knew him as a virgin. “I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little fearful. But you have to be willing to say, ‘I know I’m pushing myself, and if not everybody comes with me, that’s ok.’ I’m just thankful that a lot of them did,” the singer explained to Rolling Stone.
Jonas also mentioned that a Jonas Brothers reunion is possible, but he definitely doesn’t see that happening right now. Nick Jonas is Iggy Azalea‘s special guest performer on her tour this year. The Great Escape Tour will hit the road on April 14th at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California. The tour will conclude on May 24th at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas. R&B singer Tinashe will also join Iggy Azalea and Nick Jonas on The Great Escape Tour.
