Nick Jonas made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote his self-titled album, which was released last year. While on Fallon, the pop singer performed his Top 40 hit song, “Chains”. In April, Jonas will be the opening act for Iggy Azalea‘s Great Escape Tour. The North American tour starts on April 14th in Fresno (California), and it will conclude on May 24th in Austin (Texas). Jonas and Azalea will make stops in several US cities including Oakland (California), Las Vegas (Nevada), Brooklyn (New York), Orlando (Florida), and more. R&B singer Tinashe and DJ Wizz Kid will also join the Great Escape Tour.
The pop singer will also join Fox’s horror comedy anthology, Scream Queens. The show, which was created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan, will air fifteen episodes in the fall of this year. The Fox network announced the premise of the show will center around a series of murders that took place on a college campus. Jonas will have a recurring role on the television series, and pop singer Ariana Grande will also guest star on Scream Queens. The main cast for the series include Jaime Lee Curtis, Lea Michele, Emma Roberts, Keke Palmer, Abigail Breslin, and Joe Manganiello.
Next month, Jonas will host the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on March 28th. Nickelodeon announced all of the nominees a couple of days ago. Some of the nominees in the Favorite Talent Competition category include American Idol, America’s Got Talent, and The Voice.Fifth Harmony, Iggy Azalea, Echosmith, Jessie J, Meghan Trainor, and 5 Seconds of Summer are all nominated for Favorite New Artist. The nominees in the Favorite Music Group include Coldplay, Fall Out Boy, One Direction, Imagine Dragons, Maroon 5, and OneRepublic. Sam Smith, Pharrell Williams, Nick Jonas, Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, and Blake Shelton are the artists nominated for Favorite Male Singer.
The nominees in the Favorite Female Singer category include Beyonce, Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Selena Gomez, and Taylor Swift. The female artists dominated the Favorite Song of the Year category with “All About That Bass” (Meghan Trainor), “Dark Horse” (Katy Perry), “Fancy” (Iggy Azalea featuring Charli XCX), “Bang Bang” (Ariana Grande, Jessie J, and Nicki Minaj), “Problem” (Ariana Grande featuring Iggy Azalea), and “Shake It Off” (Taylor Swift), all rounded out the nominees. R&B singer-actor Jamie Foxx is nominated for Favorite Villain and Favorite Movie Actor for The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
