Nick Jonas hit it big as a Jonas brother, but now he’s all grown up and on his own. The singer has recently earned his spot as a major heartthrob, thanks to several scandalous photo shoots. However, despite all of his time in the spotlight, there are still some things that many people do not know about him. Number Fifteen: He Was Homeschooled. Jonas may have been born a Texas boy, but he was actually raised in New Jersey. He was homeschooled there in New Jersey by his mother, Denise.
Number Fourteen: He Has Another Brother. Though many people think of the Jonas Brothers as being a trio, there is actually a fourth brother named Frankie. However, Frankie was too young to be part of the group when they formed, and he is only 15 years old now.
Number Thirteen: He Has a Serious Illness. Jonas actually suffers from Type I diabetes, and he was diagnosed at the young age of 13. However, he has used his fame to turn his disease into a blessing and has been able to help raise thousands of dollars for foundations that raise awareness fro diabetes.
Number Twelve: He Has Run With Bulls. When Jonas was 15 years old, he went to Spain and actually ran with the bulls, which is an extremely dangerous and often fatal thing to do. Despite the fact that he risked his life to run with bulls, he refuses to swim with sharks.
Number Eleven: He Has a Special Connection to Irving Plaza. New York City’s very own Irving Plaza holds a very special place in Jonas’ heart. Jonas saw his very first concert there – Switchfoot – and the plaza was also where the Jonas brothers sold out in concert.
Number Ten: He Owns His Own Record Label. Jonas began his own record label in May of 2015, and he called it Safehouse Records. Jonas is the co-owner, and he has said that he wants the label to center around the artists. Demi Lovato is also part of the label.
Number Nine: He Is a Film Buff. Jonas has admitted that he is a major cinephile. He said, “I love movies, I always see movies anytime I get the chance. I just like the experience. Sometimes I don’t even like the movie, I just like going.”
