Muse are at the top of the UK Albums chart, after their album Drones sold over 70,000 copies in its first week. This marks the band’s fifth project to reach Number 1 in the UK. Their other chart-toppers include Absolution, Black Holes and Revelations, The Resistance, and The 2nd Law. Drones is also expected to top the Billboard 200 chart, which will be the band’s first Number 1 on the US album chart. It is expected to move over 75,000 units, which should be enough for the top position. The Billboard 200 chart will be unveiled on June 17th. Before Drones was released, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy said the project was the band’s best work to date. The 12-track Drones album features the singles “Dead Inside” and “Mercy.” Some of the other highlights from the album are “Psycho,” “Revolt,” and “Reapers.” Aside from their Number 1 albums, Muse’s other albums include Showbiz and Origin of Symmetry.
