Mumford & Sons at Bonnaroo

Saturday night at Bonnaroo saw Mumford & Sons‘ Wilder Mind Tour headlining on the festival’s What Stage. The band played a sampling of songs from throughout their diverse career. Their set list was dominated by songs from their recent Wilder Mind album, the folk-rock masters also performed a number of tracks from their first ever album, called Babel, and also from their second ever album, called Sigh No More. The group is no stranger to Bonnaroo, as the group has played the festival a few years in a row previously, with the exception of 2013 when they were forced to cancel due to bassist Ted Dwane’s emergency brain surgery. He has made a whopping recovery, and he and the rest of Mumford & Sons delivered a stellar performance. They concluded their impressive 20-song set with a cover of “With a Little Help from My Friends” by the Beatles. They were joined on stage by members of My Morning Jacket and Hozier, so that was a truly epic moment in rock n’ roll history. The band first got together in 2007 in London, England and they have one many prestigious awards.
